Let's face it...across much of the world, it's just too damn cold to get outside and ride these days.

So, what's the alternative? For most of us, it's endless hours of bordedom on the indoor trainer, where the view never changes and the wind never cools us off.

But we may have found an answer. Check this out. Aki Mimoto lives in Vancouver, BC. He's found a way to combine his indoor trainer, his computer, and Google Street View to give him an ever-changing scene that responds to both his speed and where his head is looking.

Aki explains it all, in the following CycleTo video.

It happens before every pro training session. The riders get all kitted-up, and one of the directors goes over the route and rules of the road for that day's ride.

We eavesdropped on BMC director Mike Sayers as he talked to his troops before a recent ride at their Agoura Hills, CA camp.

Listen closely to Sayers' first suggestion, and also the last very comment, in the following CycleTo video.

He's raced his bike all around the world...France, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Belgium...and along the way, pro cyclist Lucas Euser has produced some great results.

...and he has some great stories to tell.

In the second part of our conversation with Lucas at San Francisco's Sports Basement, he talks about what it's like to be in a long breakaway with teammate Dave Zabriskie, and we go through Euser's highly-successful 2008 season, in the following CycleTo audio file.

Tomorrow, Lucas talks about the accident in Spain that nearly ruined his career, and how his comback is progressing.

This week marks the second anniversary of the launch of CycleTo, and we're doing some work to improve the technology behind the site.

Over the next few days, we'll be upgrading our servers and databases. When we're finished, you'll see all the same great content that you expect on CycleTo, and things will be working much more efficiently on the back-end.

You may experience short outages while we're migrating and upgrading, but don't worry...the interruptions will be temporary, and you should be able to access all the stories, photos and videos ASAP.

Thanks for hangin' with us.

There was only one winner, but there were countless struggles and stories in the Women's Tour of Flanders on Sunday.

Lotto Team rider Grace Verbeke rode solo to the finish in Ninove, with Dutch riders Marianne Vos and Kirsten Wild in second and third. Verbeke is the first Belgian woman to ever win at Flanders.

The top American was TIBCO's Brooke Miller, with a very respectable 13th place finish.

The racers were in and out of the sun, and in and out of distress all along the 119km course. At the challenging climb up the Muur, it was a continuous show of emotions and effort. Pain and suffering ran through the entire field of racers.

You may never find better examples of the enthusiasm that women's cycling can generate than what you'll see in the following CycleTo photos from Flanders. We admit that we may have gone a bit overboard by posting all these photos, but we've been hearing from quite a few fans who want to see more coverage of women's racing. And we had a pretty good day with the camera, too...so we want to share the moments with one and all.

Here you go...enjoy.
