It was an all-Garmin weekend in beautiful Marin County, CA. The NorCal High School Mountain Bike League's annual "CycleFest" weekend wrapped-up with a spirited 50 mile ride out to the California coast and back, lead by Garmin-Slipsteam boss Jonathan Vaughters, and teammates Lucas Euser and Steven Cozza. The Garmin guys lead a pack of some 200 riders along the route on a picture-perfect NorCal day. The night before the ride, Vaughters entertained a packed house in Mill Valley, CA on Saturday. He covered everything from the possibility of Alberto Contador joining his Garmin team for 2010, to the day he and Christian Vande Velde tried to launch rockets into George Hincapie's apartment in Girona, Spain. We'll be posting the best of our hour-long chat with JV all week here in CycleTo, beginning Monday. But first, a look at the Garmin guys at play on the roads of Marin, below.
